Royal Docks Waterways

Royal Docks Waterways

Royal Docks Waterways is advancing an ambitious vision to transform 12 hectares of water at Royal Victoria Dock into one of London’s largest floating destinations.

The proposals will introduce a mix of water-based uses, including a floating park, wellness facilities and potential floating residential, supporting the Mayor of London’s ambition for cleaner, healthier waterways, increasing biodiversity and public access to the water.

The scheme has the potential to increase Newham’s publicly accessible open space by approximately 5%, creating a significant new asset for the borough and the capital. By transforming the dock into a thriving, diverse waterfront, Royal Docks Waterways will provide new opportunities for leisure, culture, and wellbeing, establishing a unique destination at the heart of the Royal Docks. Early phases of delivery are expected by 2030.
