Hallsville Quarter, Canning Town
Hallsville Quarter is a £650 million town centre development led by Bouygues Development, development arm of Bouygues UK, forming a key part of the £3.7 billion regeneration of Canning Town and Custom House. Delivered across multiple phases, the scheme has created a new district centre for Newham with homes, shops, leisure, healthcare and community facilities, centred around a new civic square and public park.
The project has delivered more than 1,100 homes across a range of tenures and 375 student bedrooms, alongside two supermarkets, a 196-bedroom hotel, retail and restaurant space, an NHS health centre, gyms and an energy centre serving the wider masterplan. New public spaces, improved pedestrian and cycling connections, and over 3,000 sqm of shared amenity space are helping to create a healthy and well-connected neighbourhood.
Phase 4 has just completed delivering 375-room purpose-built student bedrooms and the first students are already in occupation. marking the completion of the penultimate phase of the scheme.
